The sad thing is that most of us were warned by our mothers that one day we would understand why she did the things she did. I swore I would never do a lot of the things my mom did when I became a parent and I've already done/said most of them...and my son is only 5! I guess turning into our mothers is just a part of life that happens to us all at one time or another. :)

And it just gets worse with age with us forgetting our stuff or misplacing our things (like keys, etc). You are super mom to the rescue! Talk about always having to think on your feet (literally) to figure out a Plan B. Great post!

Bribing is not your friend. What does it teach? That every step of the way someone will give you something for what you really ought to be doing for yourself? Does the child learn to enjoy the process...not really. To get to the end results, one often needs to make mistakes (as in your example of not bringing in the homework assignment). This can lead to the child making a plan of how to avoid this happening again. But giving a reward? Isn't the reward going to come when he/she completes the work well done and learns along the way? The positive guidance along the way will help build the love of learning and independence.

I have to ask, what was the method that he used? I make a tremendous amount of hard boiled eggs. I put them in cold water in a pot. Put on the stove. Heat until it boils. Turn the heat off, cover and leave for 17 minutes. Then put into a cold bath until they are cooled. Then I crack them all over so that the peel is in tiny pieces. Doing this exposes a weakness in the membrane at some point. I use that point to start the peeling process. I then also peel under running water. Usually I have a pretty good peeling experience. One other trick...use old eggs. As eggs age, some of their liquid evaporates through the shell, leaving more air between the egg and the shell. This makes them easier to peel. Go ahead and call me an egg nerd!

Yeast named Pityrosporum Orbiculare or Malassezia Furfur is the main cause of this condition. It is lipophilic which means fats are its vulnerability. This provides you the reason of infestation in a specific area like chest, arms and back. As these parts have huge number of sebaceous oily glands. The yeast remains dormant in our skin and with specific changes in environment like warm weather it reacts to it accordingly. When the skin is exposed to excess heat it causes the skin to tan which is affected by the fungus. The warm weather aggravates this problem further.;

Your child's health includes physical, mental and social well-being. Most parents know the basics of keeping children healthy, like offering them healthy foods, making sure they get enough sleep and exercise and insuring their safety. *

Iron Out from Walmart!!! Soak for several hours or overnight and Voila! Stains are gone!! Best product ever!! Also, Totally Awesome multipurpose cleaner spray from Dollar General or I've also found at the grocery.
