Creamy Pasta with Peas and Bacon 2

½ package of bacon
1 package of penne
1 pint of half and half
Dash of nutmeg
1 cup of grated Parmesan plus extra for sprinkling
1 cup of frozen peas
2 Tbsp butter
Salt and Pepper

Cut the bacon into bits and fry until crisp.  Drain and set aside.  Heat a pot of water and salt generously.  Bring to a boil and add the penne.  Boil until cooked.  Drain thoroughly and return to hot pot.  Mix in butter until melted.  Add cream and nutmeg and stir over low heat for a few minutes until bubbling.  Remove from heat.  Mix in cheese and bacon.  Add peas and stir until peas are warmed.  Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan.
