Okay ladies, it’s time to focus a little attention on yourself. I saw an advertisment in the USA Today that I thought was wonderful and I wanted to share it with everyone. The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. has put together a wonderful interactive tool to help women develop their own early detection plan. By taking a few minutes and logging on to www.NBCF.org/edp, you can create your own plan, choose how you want to be reminded and receive notifications starting today.
FACT – With early detection, the 5-year survival rate is 98%!

“Your mammogram is suspicious for breast cancer.” “Your biopsy was positive for breast cancer.” These are among the most terrifying words a woman can hear from her doctor. Breast cancer elicits so many fears, including those relating to surgery, death, loss of body image and loss of sexuality. Managing these fears can be facilitated by information and knowledge so that each woman can make the best decisions concerning her care. Knowledge is power and together we can make a difference! Happy Holidays!
