After years of having perfect eyesight, I think my time has finally come where I may need a little help. I used to laugh at my mom when she held a book, newspaper, magazine or a dinner menu at arms length to read it and now, I’m doing the same thing. Everyone warned me that once I turned 40, my eyes would start to go down hill and they couldn’t have been more right.
I find myself having difficulty focusing on very near objects and my kids are now doing the laughing at me. What is it that changes our eyesight at that magical 40 number? It’s just amazing too that friends of mine who are around the same age as me are going through the same thing!
So, is the answer those cheapo reading glasses that you can find in pretty much any store or is it worth going to the eye doctor and paying a fortune for an exam and then a pair of glasses. I’m on the fence on this one so, I’m hoping I get some comments back giving me some good advice! Not sure if I made it as one of the first 10 to get your cool hat, but here is my advice: go cheap. They work the same. You won’t be using it that much, and some stores offer pretty cute ones. I just bought some from Costco that comes with a really cute case.
