Now that the “candy season” is over, we are on to the “gift season.” So as part of our attempt to keep you all up to speed with the latest and greatest gift ideas for your kids, we’ll be doing a series we call “GIFTS THAT GARNER GRATITUDE” (read with loud announcer voice and echo sound effects). Because maybe the reason our kids don’t seem more appreciative is that we’re not getting them the right gifts, right!?
You don’t honestly think I believe that, do you? The point is, when the holidays come and our kids open their gifts, if they’re not jumping out of their jammies for joy over our gifts, we often feel a little disappointed. We all want to get gifts that are good for our kids and that they will enjoy. So over the next month we’ll be bringing you our picks for the best gift ideas.
Our first suggestions on ‘GIFTS THAT GARNER GRATITUDE’ come from our friends at Disney’s FamilyFun magazine. Each year FamilyFun hands out the T.O.Y Awards (Toy Of the Year) to the hottest new toys on the market as selected by test families across the country. We went through their list and thought all of them sounded pretty cool , but a few really stood out to us. Check out this video showing the top ten winners:
