Delete, Delete, Delete...Yeah!

I’m one of those moms that makes use of the scheduler on my phone to the extreme.  I input everything into it, practices, games, school due dates, half days, birthday parties, appointments, vacations, etc.  Thank goodness all this information gets synced with my computer so if I ever loose my phone or my computer crashes, all my information can be easily accessed from the other.  I use my phone as this wonderful tool for many reasons…

1. My phone beeps at me to remind me that something is coming up on my schedule;

2. My phone is with me at all times, so I can check for conflicts or add things at my fingertips;

3. I use it to make a weekly print out for the kids so they know what’s happening everyday;

4. My husband even checks it because he knows if it’s not in my phone…it ain’t happening; and lastly

5. It helps keep me sane.

Today, I was EXTREMELY excited to get on my scheduler, why you ask?  Well, all the fall sports seasons are coming to a close which means that I was able to go in and revise my schedule.

DELETE football for the Bears on Wed on Fri,

DELTE baseball for the Cardinals on Tues and Fri,

DELETE soccer for Team Tidal Wave on Tues and Thurs,

DELETE flag football for the other Bears Team on Tues and Thurs,

DELETE travel baseball on Mon,

DELETE Brewers baseball on Thurs,  and

A big DELETE to all those Saturday morning games!

After tomorrow’s games are over, we can actually sleep in on a Saturday morning.  Don’t get me wrong, I love watching my kids play sports and I’m one of those proud loud-mouthed moms on the sidelines but, I just am so thrilled to have a bit of a sports lull until all the winter sports start up.  Instead of running from one practice to another, we can actually try and have a sit down dinner on a  weeknight!

And to all those other moms out there who are in the same boat, go ahead, it’s ok to put a little smile on your face and do a little cheer.  We finally get a chance to enjoy one of those little things in life called a break.

I can now go get the inside of my car cleaned and have all that food removed that has fallen on the floor as my kids ate dinner on their way to practice over the last few months!
