Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2010 and the New Wii Fit Plus Experience

I had the opportunity to attend the launch of the new in-store Wii Fit Experience at a local Sports Authority store (www.thewiiauthority.com).  The Wii Fit Experience is an in-store demo where you can actually try out a new Wii fitness game before you buy it using the new Wii Fit Plus board (for a chance to win a new Wii Fit Plus, keep reading).  This is what the in-store display looks like…

The highlight of the event was host Jillian Michaels, trainer from NBC’s The Biggest Loser, who was in attendance to lead the world’s largest Wii Fit Experience using her new Fitness Ultimatum 2010 Wii Game.

Here was the scene outside Sports Authority where all the camera crews were getting set up and all 102 exercisers were gathering for their workout with Jillian…

Corporate heads from Sports Authority and Nintendo said a few words about the collaboration and the launch and then Jillian got the group going for their workout, you’ll notice one of the corporate guys even got in on in the front row!

After the workout, my friend and I got the chance to meet Jillian and snap a photo with her.

I even was able to ask her some questions about her new Wii game, check out what she had to say…

I really enjoyed your website! Your blog is wonderful reading. Have you heard of Danny the Dragon? One of my favorites, and worth a visit as it is the nominee for Best Children’s Picture Book of 2009! http://DannyTheDragon.com

You crack me up! Love your blog and your Mom perspective! XO

  • I enjoyed reading about the Wii-fit Experience trial. Cool that you can listen to the music of your choice too while you work out. Nice that you can try it and see what it is like before you buy it. Great article!

  • Great blog on the Wii fit Experience. Sounds cool how you can try it first to see if you like it. Also, loved that you can have your choice of music to work out to.

  • I love the Wii Fit – we have the old school variety, not the new fangled one – but it has been great for our whole family. I was able to start out really slow – which I needed with fibromyalgia – and now I am able to do so much more! I love that it tracks my progress. I would love to try Jillian’s Wii trainer, I have a feeling it would kick my butt, but thanks to the Wii fit I might be able to do it!

I am probably one of the few people who has never used a Wii ANYTHING haha. I think it’s great that the Nintendo company has realized that our kids would rather be infront of a TV all day than play outside. This is a great way for people of ALL ages to get in shape and have fun at the same time. I know that personally I may look like I’m in shape but I can’t even run a mile without almost getting sick, I’d love to try a game that makes exercising fun and productive. Hooray for technology! It looks like you had a blast! :)

Love this website! Great topics and I love keeping up with Gunny and family!! Carlie is hoping for a Wii Fit for Christmas so this was very interesting to us.

  • How much fun is that. I recently purchased the Wii sport and was playing tennis on the weekend with my son. It was so much fun, I was actually sweating when we were through! I guess I need the Wii Fit!! Thanks for all your great blogs and info!! It sure makes my life easier! Jan

I am a big fan of the Biggest Loser. I love Jillian. She has kept me on track on my weight loss. Since I have lost a few pounds with many more to go a Wii fit with Jullian would help me obtain my goals of being able to dance all night long at my daughters wedding!

Does anyone know the Steeler’s Polka?

Love this sight. Keep up the great work!

I too am a huge Biggest Loser fan but unfortunately have not been able make a lot of weight loss progress. I would love to have a Wii Fit to get me going in the privacy of my own home. We all would benefit from this and wont have to travel to the gym. What fun we all will have. Thanks for opportunity.!!!!

I totally agree with Jillian that mom’s set the example in the home. I have been looking for something fun to do in the exercise dept. and this may be the way to go. I think working out with Jillian would help me shed all this extra weight and it would help get me toned & more importantly, healthy. I love your website ladies. Enjoy the holidays and blessings to you and yours.
