School Is Back in Session 1

School has started for my kids and some parents are cheering while others are bummed out.  For me it’s rather bitter sweet.  I love having them home and having fun with them but on the flip side, I know deep down they were anxious to get back and hang with all of their friends.  My younger two went back yesterday and thank goodness, they both like the teachers they have this year so I am very excited for them.  My older two started junior high today and couldn’t get out the door fast enough.  They’re big kids now, going to ...

The First Day Back 1

Well, the first day of school went off without a hitch.  The kids were up early, ate a great breakfast and were dressed before I knew it.  Even though they said they didn’t want to go back, the minute they stepped foot on the school grounds and saw all their friends, there was excitement in the air and they acted as if they had never left for summer break!  Everyone had big smiles and they were talking a mile a minute.  Now if they could only do without the hours of homework every night, mom would be excited too!

Back to School Poem 9

In honor of the back to school season, I wanted to share a photo of my kids on their first day back along with a poem I just wrote.  I hope you enjoy it!
