Disposing Disposable Diapers

I read some interesting statistics the other day as it pertains to diapers in Whole Living Magazine. Here is what I learned… 95% of parents in the U.S. use disposable diapers; 18 BILLION disposable diapers are sent to American landfills every year; Every baby will use approximately 8,000 diapers before they are potty trained; and It takes at least 500 years for a disposable diaper to break down.
