The Cost of Kids Sports

My goodness, I cringed once again this morning when I signed my two little guys up for tackle football.  $790 for two 11 year old boys to play football.  The prices for these sports keeps going up and up and up.  Nothing like having to spend their college tuition now just so they can play youth sports.  The fee for my daughter’s club volleyball program would have covered two mortgage payments.   The sad part about the whole thing  is that if they want to play sports in high school, at least around here in Southern California, it’s imperative that they learn ...

Being a mom of four kids that enjoy playing sports, I found a survey that was in the USA Today to be quite interesting. Nearly 80% of adults say youth sports today can be too competitive…who is the primary culprit?      78% the parents      14% the coaches      6% the kids      3% others Chill out parents and let the kids enjoy the game!
